For Joy and Wisdom

Jason Mallory was raised by his parents, both of whom teachers, in Campbell, California, located in the heart of the booming “Silicon Valley.”  At age eleven, his family moved to the small, agricultural town of Dixon, where he served his high school years working on a country ranch estate, playing soccer, undergoing scholarship political education at the State Capital, or fishing in the offshoots of the American River.  During college, Jason was given one-on-one special studies in political science, where he received a year of A credit with side pay, while doing creative writing on An Upgrade to Capitalism.  He earned a Bachelors of Science in Business and Administration with emphasis in Management from California State University San Diego, and has multiple years of study in Electro-Acoustic Music Composition and Web Development technologies.

Jason never intended to be a writer.  It was not until serendipitous sports injuries forced him to sit down for extended periods of time that he found the call to written expression.  Crude beginnings developed into outright talent, and he is now a paid contributor to newspapers, with: opinion articles, literary dazzlers, current events and high profile interviews.  His full length book, For Joy and Wisdom, is near final completion, and will be the first fully produced product of his new career path.  Jason is also developing a music CD to package with the book, and is working on two book/movie packages that give appropriate description to concepts originally unveiled to the world through For Joy and Wisdom.

Summer of 2010, Jason will spend 2-3 months traveling across the United States by motorcycle, playing musical performances and promoting his book.  During his travels, Jason will create a blog series focused on the beautiful natural splendor that is the American landscape, as well as the culture and people of today.  Professional stops include The Book Expo America Conference, as well as personal meetings.
